We were invited by the national theater to come and see their brand new production “The Light Princess” on the 3rd of October. As a selected group me and my partner Pablo Parry were then invited to create a short film based on our interpretations of the play in just one month! We choose to meditate on the play’s lake scene where the princess looses herself in the water feeling truly at home. Below are some of our initial ideas and responses to the brief: test footage reel for the light princess from Sinead Oram on Vimeo. After ...

Lucky is my latest character Model based on my own design. She’s a dorky playboy bunny girl who works at a casino. The model is almost finished she just needs to be rigged before we can mark her as done. This model has a subsurface scattering skin shader and a cartoon dot on the eye blinn to make her eyes seem more alive and to fit in with the cartoon graphic style. These details make her my most advanced character to date. As you can see below the transformation of these details really bring the character to life. And here’s ...
For the last few months I’ve been working as a designer in a ceramics company in North Wales. I design pools and also create 3D environments for presentation to clientele below are some of the projects I’ve completed. Sohar Mosque Vox Pool Plunge Pool
Below I have a sample of two projects I’m working on at the moment. The first is a personal piece and is a homage to one of my favorite illustrators “werepop”, this piece is a cg illustration. I’m hoping to get her textured and a final render out in the coming weeks. This is another personal piece and is based on a few different guys I met working in the bingo hall. He’s an old geography teacher kinda character. At the moment he just needs rigging to be finalized.
This very short project was made for the company crazy play in Swansea. They are a small company who design and manufacture jungle gym play area’s, earlier in 2013 they were looking for a new designer to put together 3D CG designs and videos for their clients. They asked for a sample project to be completed and this is mine. I created everything seen here in less than a week.

Making a really cool print precence was really important to the lighthouse men team. We felt that our posters and print materials should be as bold and in keep with the films thriller theme. The above poster was inspired by a posters from the films of Alfred Hitchcock, specifically a rear window poster and a vertigo poster. The materials below are a mixture of postcards, business cards and special stills made for printing. There is an overall theme and brand. We’re hoping these materials can be handed out and used to advertise the film over the next 6 months. The Moving House Project was a year two group project. The idea was to create a film where we merged the cg and 2d worlds together. It was a great learning piece which laid the foundation of what we were going to make as a final piece. The final film was only relitivly successful and not finally finished however I still think it was a good project and that the character designs were overall good.

Here we have a massive selection of life drawing from the past several years. I feel life drawing is an important skill to nurture showing the ability of an artist to create 2d visualizations of 3d people.
Here’s a selection of various illustration type images I’ve made over the past year or so!
